I went for a drive last night

And that was just it. No destination or real reason, and definitely no music. I just fancied it. I ended up being out for almost two hours with just a bottle of water and various degrading hydrocarbons. WHY THE HELL DONT I DO IT MORE OFTEN.

Well a small reason is because im trying to save up money and saving gas counts.

And the bigger reason is That I cant have the road for myself anymore. Youd think at late night there would be no cars at all. But there they are and many of them driving drunk. So now the cops make roadblocks in the city to check the drivers and bust those that are drunk.

I used to do this too. Very stress-reducing, or at least it used to be. Would head out late and sometimes put 100 miles on the odo. I had a good friend I could usually call up to ride along sometimes. Haven't done this in about 20 years, I'll have to try it again!

This is part of why I haven't in a long time. Used to have the roads pretty much to myself when I did this. Now they are busy at any hour.

Not sure I could do a ride along with someone! I'd end up getting really annoyed with their incessant breathing or something. If they brought their own car though... Get out there man, just once in a while :)

All depends on the person. Similar musical tastes, great laughs, enjoys the cruise... sometimes an ear to talk to is good to have. 25 years later we still keep in touch from different sides of the country and get together when out here or there.
